SKINTOWN will premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival


The 79th Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) runs from August 13th - 19th, 2026. Keeper Pictures is thrilled to announce SKINTOWN will have its world premiere in competition on Sunday 16th of August. SKINTOWN is an Irish / Northern Irish co-production directed by Kieron J Walsh, produced by Yvonne Donohoe and Brendan Byrne, and Executive Produced by Katie Holly.

The film takes place in the summer of 1994 and best friends Vinny and Jonty are desperate to escape their small-town life in conflict torn Enniskillen (Skintown), Northern Ireland. Just as a ceasefire is announced heralding a brighter future, Vinny and Jonty successfully execute a dangerous plan destined to spring them from Skintown before fate intervenes. The film stars Jack Rowan, Chris Walley, Jamie Lee O’Donnell and Hope Ikpoku Jnr., based on the book by Ciarán McMenamin.
