Keeper’s Katie Holly also was in attendance for the premiere, and after a very successful premiere screening, the celebrations continued onto an 1818-themed reception at department store Saks Fifth Avenue that included croquet and live watercolour illustrations. In the lead up to the film’s release, Saks also had a window display exhibiting a number of costumes from Mr. Malcolm’s List out onto the streets on Manhattan. A huge thank you to Bleecker Street for organising such a wonderful evening for our film’s launch!
On August 22nd a pre-release screening took place in London at Curzon Mayfair with an after-party at Little House Mayfair. Many members of the cast attended, as well as Keeper staff Amy Carroll, Emma Keaveny, Evan Horan, and Grace Odumosu. Wunmi Mosaku from Keeper’s 2012 film CITADEL was also in attendance.
We’re so thrilled with the reviews that have come in for the film – the Associated Press called Mr. Malcolm’s List “clever, entertaining and delectably pretty”; Variety noted that the film is “marvellous, tart, stylish, and emotionally vibrant” and was selected as Variety’s Critic’s Pick.
Since its North American release, the film is now Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes; and we are now gearing up towards the film’s Irish and UK release on Friday 26 August with Vertigo Releasing. Mr. Malcolm’s List is also now available on VOD across North America.
